ENTACT performed soil remediation and ground improvement efforts to address low-pH soils resulting from a sulfuric acid spill at the refinery. Stabilization of the ground was essential to support the construction of a new process unit at the site. These remediation efforts were crucial for ensuring the structural integrity needed for the upcoming development at the refinery. On this project, ENTACT:

• Performed in-situ solidification on 86,000 cubic yards of material
• Enhanced soil strength using a blend of granulated ground blast furnace slag and Portland cement
• Utilized a vertical auger mixing rig for effective material delivery
• Achieved required strength and permeability standards for new construction
