Environmental Remediation Restores 45-acres for Commercial Development

ENTACT conducted a non-time-critical removal action at the 45-acre uplands area of a former coke and gas site to prepare for commercial redevelopment. This project involved multiple phases to ensure effective remediation and site readiness. Upon project completion, ENTACT had:

  • Demolished and removed of 38,000 cubic yards of surface and subsurface structures
  • Resized, crushed, and screened 53,000 cubic yards of stockpiled debris for reuse onsite
  • Removed 3,900 wooden pilings
  • Excavated 30,000 cubic yards of non-affected overburden soil for onsite stockpiling and reuse
  • Excavated and consolidated 50,000 cubic yards of source material for in-situ solidification and stabilization (ISS)
  • Performed ISS treatment of 230,000 cubic yards of designated soils
  • Dewatered and managed contact water and stormwater
  • Graded disturbed areas
