PCB SITE RESIDENTIAL REMEDIATION AND RESTORATION

ENTACT undertook a multiyear remediation and restoration project at an active industrial facility, addressing the presence of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in the surrounding area, which posed risks to nearby residential and community spaces. Utilizing our expertise in residential remediation, ENTACT developed a comprehensive field approach that prioritized community safety, maintained clear communication with impacted neighbors, and adhered to an efficient schedule. Upon project completion, ENTACT had:

• Remediated and restored 676 PCB-impacted residential properties
• Transported and placed removed soils to either an onsite staging area or an off-site Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)-approved disposal facility
• Constructed of a 20-acre repository for onsite placement of contaminated materials
• Remediated PCB-impacted areas within a city park
• Expedited removal of PCB impacts on school property to ensure safety for students and staff
