ENTACT performed remediation activities in preparation for residential redevelopment at this former industrial site previously used for the manufacturing of cement products, wood fiber and asbestos roofing felts, asphalt roofing materials and asbestos-containing pipe covering. Scope of work included 20,000 cubic yards of excavation, crushing and sorting, and on-site placement of hydrocarbon and ACM impacted soils and debris in a 1,700 linear foot on-site engineered berm; dewatering and on-going water management; construction of soil cap, vegetative cover, drainage swales, and storm sewer connections; backfill of excavated areas; off-site disposal of surplus soils and debris; and site grading and final restoration.
