ENTACT is performing multi-year remediation, facility management, and operation and maintenance activities at this former 2,700-acre oil production field. This high profile project is located in a biologically sensitive area which is home to several federally and state protected species, and features over 1,200 permit requirements from multiple agencies. ENTACT interacts with a diverse range of stakeholders, consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met. ENTACT’s scope of work and responsibilities include construction and maintenance of access roads; design and installation of sheet pile cells, dewatering and stormwater management systems to enable excavation of diluent and TPH impacted sand and soils up to 50 feet throughout the field; loading, transportation, placement and management of impacted materials in a stockpile management area for subsequent off-site disposal; backfilling and restoration of excavations; decontamination, demolition and removal of site structures and systems; historical pipeline abandonment; design, construction and operation of a Groundwater Treatment Plant; performance of various O&M activities; and management of the facility. ENTACT has relocated and successfully installed legless lizard habitat, assisted with wetland plantings, willow planting, and straw plug installation to meet established restoration success criteria.
