ENTACT completed site remedial work and in-situ solidification and stabilization (ISS) of impacted soils at an eight-acre former manufactured gas plant (MGP) site. The project was located near industrial, commercial, and residential properties, as well as community parking areas, a recreational park, and water district facilities, including water supply wells. TAR PONDS AND COKE OVENS SITE SOLIDIFICATION AND STABILIZATION
The tar ponds at this site were filled with waste from a steel mill and coke oven, which significantly impacted the nearby tidal estuary with contaminated sediments and sludge. In response, the governments of Canada and Nova Scotia initiated a cleanup plan to remediate the site and create Open Hearth Park, a community gathering space. PCB SITE RESIDENTIAL REMEDIATION AND RESTORATION

FORMER FACTORY REMEDIATION AND REDEVELOPMENT

INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX REMEDIATION AND REDEVELOPMENT
ENTACT performed comprehensive remedial activities at a 2,200-acre industrial complex to prepare the site for mixed-use redevelopment. Leveraging our internal technical and treatability expertise, we developed a remediation solution aimed at reducing the site’s high moisture levels to meet specific objectives. This involved geotechnical evaluations, soil mixing, free draining, dewatering, and reagent assessments of source materials. COKE AND GAS SITE UPLANDS REMOVAL ACTION
ENTACT conducted a non-time-critical removal action at the 45-acre uplands area of a former coke and gas site to prepare for commercial redevelopment. This project involved multiple phases to ensure effective remediation and site readiness. BAYFRONT REDEVELOPMENT
ENTACT completed a comprehensive multi-phase remediation of a 100-acre industrial site located near a river, preparing it for mixed-use redevelopment. BROWNFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AREA REMEDIATION
ENTACT performed remediation activities across several blocks and lots as part of a larger brownfield redevelopment project aimed at future residential use. The site was impacted by multiple industrial operations, leading to soil contamination with various hazardous substances, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), hexavalent chromium, chromium ore process residue (COPR), extractable petroleum hydrocarbons (EPH), pesticides, metals, and lead. FORMER SMELTER MIXED-USE REDEVELOPMENT
